I am Loh Zhen Hao, current 16 years old. I am aspiring to be a software engineer, cybersecurity engineer or a penetration tester.
This website is made with HTML and some basic javascript. The construction of this website will be in projects soon.
Will be updating soon!!
I also like making jigsaw puzzles and building Lego!--------------->
Some of the languages that I know are python, block coding, html(basic), javascrip(basic).
Currently I am trying to learn javascript to improve this website.
I was in robotics club and really enjoyed the hands-on activities we had such as building air powered
cars which we had to compete to see who had the best design to travel the furthest. However
during my 4 years there, COVID-19 struck for more than half of it making me unable to attend many
competitions. This is why most of my achievents came during the last 2 years. The most notable for
me is Hack@AC as it was my first introduction into CTF and the world of cybersecurity.
Some of the CTFs that I have participated are:
1.Hack@AC------2nd place (Team)
2.Central CTF--10th place (Individual)
3.YCEP (NP)----12th place (Individual), 1st place (Team)
4.YCEP (NYP)---9th place (Individual)
10th place (Individual)
2nd place (Team)
1st place (Team)
Champion (Team)
Why cybersecurity?
One of my job aspirations is to become a cybersecurity engineer to perform vulnerabilities assessments and help fix vulnerabilities in websites which will prevent malicious attackers from stealing people's information. This is very important as nowadays millions are connected to the internet daily. Personal data are online which can be compromised by cyberattack. By becoming a cybersecurity engineer or a penetration tester, I have to be one step ahead to uncover these vulnerabilities and patch them so other people's information are protected. In a way, after solving the challenges in the CTFs, I felt rewarded with a sense of achievement. Some accomplishments that I have in this field are joining HACK@AC and CCTF. Through sheer hardwork, I was able to get 2nd (Team) and 10th (Individual) respectively! However, I am still new to this field and do not have much achievements. This is why I hope that I will be able to learn cybersecurity to further sharpen my skills.
Why Engineering?
Another of my job aspirations is to become a computer engineer to help make new programs to improve the quality of life on the internet. Learning engineering will allow me to learn more about AI and machine learning models. I want to learn this as in the future AI will be all around us. I want to be ahead of the curve and pioneer my way through this field. I am also interested in the hardware aspects of engineering such as building innovative system. I take Electronics for my "O" Levels. I find that working with hardware is very intriguing. I have also done some small projects that are relevant to engineering. For example, my Samsung S7 had an issue where usb charging was not working and it could only be charged using wireless charging. Curiosity got me to open up my phone and I had to figure out why the phone was not working, the connectors got disconnected due to the overheating of the phone. To solve this problem, I removed a piece of back plastic to improve air circulation in the phone. And bravo! since then I had been troubleshooting my own phone at various stages and still using the same S7 phone since 2017!
